Day and Residential Summer Camp are on or near University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) facilities and beaches. UCSB campus is home to eclectic architecture, education, oceanic sunrises, and the Campus Point beach and surf break. Since its founding in 1944, UCSB has been among the top destinations in the country for scholars, surfers, adventurers and beach enthusiasts.
Like its name implies, Campus Point is the point break beach and surf spot at the tip of University of California, Santa Barbara (UCSB) campus. Down the beach from Campus Point is “Poles”, a learner-friendly longboard beach break with great beginner waves.
The Santa Ynez Mountains are a playground to hikers, rock climbers, mountain bikers, trail runners, wildlife enthusiasts and many more. Few places in the world have such gorgeous mountains peaking up so close to the sea. The marine layer rises into the mountains, nourishing plants and flowers that only flourish in Santa Barbara's unique and ideal conditions.
The Channel islands are composed of eight islands, five of which are part of Channel Islands National Park. This archipelago includes (from northwest to southeast): San Miguel, Santa Rosa, Santa Cruz, Anacapa, San Nicolas, Santa Barbara, San Clemente, and Santa Catalina.
Travelers are draw to the islands for their beauty and wildlife. Below the surface are kelp forests teaming with fish, dolphin, sea lion and starfish. Dolphins can often be seen swimming alongside the boat on the ride out to the islands. Above the surface glide America's Bald Eagles, and the islands are home to foxes and more.
